High Pressure Solenoid Valves
Tank Pressurization Valve
It is mechanical valve operated by compressed air. This valve is used to isolate the propellant tanks from the pressurization system during the storage life of the vehicle and up to the launch command. This valve is opened by the movement of piston which in turn punctures the diaphragm when a pressure regulator outlet pressure builds up to the requirement.
Pressure Regulator
It is a mechanical device with single stage pressure regulation. The function of Pressure Regulator is to educe the air pressure to constant outlet pressures of not less than 9 Ksc under full flow condition. The range of inlet pressure varies from 400 ksc -70ksc. Pressure is regulated by movement of spring loaded diaphragm at high frequency. There is an in-built pressure relief valve which relieves when pressure exceed the required level.
High Pressure Air Filter
It is used to filter the air from the high pressure vessels before entering into the various pressure regulators. Size of filtering mesh is 40 microns/25 microns. |
